This was the motto of the Young Professionals' final project in 2023/24. Here, the team provides an insight into the project.
The participants in the program developed a sharepoint for the BAUR Group intranet based on this topic. The sharepoint is intended to help our managers to bring a solid structure to their (new) role. In addition, the sharepoint conveys leadership methods and is intended to provide impetus so that managers can actively engage with their team.
How did the idea come about?
In our constantly changing working world, the demands on managers have increased enormously. New ways of working, management styles and the increasing complexity of tasks require a high degree of flexibility and competence. However, newcomers to management positions in particular often have to familiarize themselves individually with their new role. Access to methods and best practices requires a great deal of initiative and commitment. As a result, every manager acts in their own way without having a uniform basis. This is where we came in and developed Sharepoint as a technical tool for executive onboarding.
Positive Feedback from Managers and HR Department
We had the opportunity to present our project to the Management, our executives and our colleagues from the HR department and are delighted with the positive feedback. Sharepoint is already being used as part of the onboarding process for managers. However, we would like to emphasize that Sharepoint is not a substitute for management training or coaching.
Rather, it should serve as a supplement and enable managers to gain an initial insight into new subject areas. It also offers the opportunity to refresh existing knowledge and to engage in discussions with their own team using various methods.

"An absolute must-see" Sibylle and Florian work as interns in Customer Service
Sibylle is a personnel developer, Florian comes from the Retail & Marketplace department. Neither of them is likely to have any contact with BAUR customers in their day-to-day work.
