The meadow festival in Fesselsdorf, organized by the horticultural association and the fire department, is a traditional festival that takes place on 1 May from 10.00 am. The day begins with a solemn church service that brings the community together and honors the festive occasion. Afterwards, visitors can enjoy a delicious lunch of roulades and Schäuferla, which is a real highlight for many. In the afternoon, you can look forward to a large selection of cakes and pastries lovingly prepared by the members of the horticultural association. For the little guests, there will be an entertaining fun program with the Spielmobil from 1 p.m., which will provide a lot of fun and variety.
For history and music lovers, the church tour in the Banz monastery church is an absolute must. The meeting point is the main entrance to the church, where participants are warmly welcomed. After the tour, regional cantor Georg Hagel plays the impressive baroque organ and visitors have the opportunity to experience the tonal subtleties of this historic instrument. The tour not only offers insights into the architecture and history of the monastery church, but also into the musical tradition that is cultivated in this venerable building.
Another highlight is the play "Bamberg, du alta Fraa" at the Brückentheater in Bad Staffelstein. On May 1 at 6.30 pm, the cabaret with the characters Kuni and Kunigunde will take you on a humorous journey through the city of Bamberg. This entertaining performance focuses on the two strong women, who not only explore the sights of the city, but also philosophize about God and the world in an amusing way. The audience can look forward to a mixture of wit, charm and critical humor, while the two protagonists charmingly outshine their husbands, Heiner and Heinrich II. Laughter is guaranteed here!
A spring concert with works by Vivaldi and Mozart will take place in the Kaisersaal Kloster Banz, promising a real feast for the ears. Soccer fans should not miss the Toto Cup Final 2025, which will take place on May 1 at 4:00 pm at the Bernd Potzel sports facility in Bad Staffelstein. The match promises exciting soccer action and a great atmosphere as the best teams in the region battle it out for the title.

This year, we are not only celebrating the anniversary of "Kronach leuchtet", but also the 100th anniversary of BAUR. To mark this special occasion, we have the honor of presenting a unique illuminated object that will not only enhance the celebrations, but also serve as a creative selfie point! From April 25th to May 3rd, the Upper Town in Kronach will shine in colorful lights.
This year, the Residence Days will not only take place in Bayreuth, but also for the first time at Plassenburg Castle in Kulmbach - the original seat of government of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth.
